The printer in our office scanned to nobody’s Mac — its last driver shipped in 2020. I built this for my office mates, then notarized it for anyone who finds this page.

macOS asks about Local Network access?
Allow it — that is how the app reaches the printer.
“The application can’t be opened”?
Download the zip with a browser. macOS blocks files saved by sandboxed apps such as Mac App Store Telegram — the app itself is notarized and opens normally.
“The printer isn’t responding”?
These printers take one scan at a time. Wait a minute, or power-cycle the printer.
